This is an input shaft for a ZF S5-20 transmission that was used on Maserati Mistrals, Sebrings with the 3.7 and 4.0 liter six cylinder engines and also Qporte I's with the 4.2 V-8 motor. Early Lamborghini 350GT's also used this transmission.
